Farewell from our CEO, Molly Southwood

"After three and a half years as CEO of Exeter Leukaemia Fund, I will be stepping down from the role in February 2026.

It has been a privilege to lead an organisation dedicated to supporting patients and families affected by blood cancer across Exeter and the surrounding area. During this time, we have strengthened governance, clarified our strategic priorities, developed partnerships, and continued to deliver practical and wellbeing support to those who rely on our services.

Like many charities, we have operated in a challenging financial and healthcare environment. I am proud of how the team and trustees have responded — maintaining focus on beneficiaries while building a more resilient and sustainable organisation.

It's been lovely getting to know so many of our wonderful supporters and volunteers over the years, and I'd like to thank you all for welcoming me.

I am pleased to be handing over the reins to Gary Moore as Interim CEO. Gary brings valuable experience and perspective, and I am confident the charity will benefit from his leadership during this next phase.

Exeter Leukaemia Fund is well positioned for the future, and I look forward to seeing it continue to grow and develop in the years ahead."
