2026 Running Events - Exeter City Community Trust partner

ELF is a charity partner to Exeter City Community Trust (ECCT), the community arm of Exeter City Football Club. As such, we are provided with a number of free places for ELF supporters to fundraise for our vital patient services by running in their events.

With race distances ranging from 10k to a Full Marathon, there is a running event to suit every level of fitness. Suggested minimum fundraising targets apply for each event.

So please, dig out your trainers and make 2026 the year that you run for ELF!

The events:

Exeter Santa Run - Sunday 7th December 2025. Please see our separate page here

Exeter Half Marathon - Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th February 2026. This two lap 13.1 mile course takes in the scenic route along Exeter’s historic Quayside and around the Riverside Valley Park. Both days have a maximum completion time of 3hrs 30 minutes.

The Granite Way 10 & 20 miles - Sunday 8th March 2026. Both distances take runners along the Granite Way footpaths and cycleways outside Okehampton, with fantastic views of Dartmoor and the surrounding countryside. Choice of 10 mile route (1 lap) or 20 miles route (2 laps of the course).

Exeter Marathon & 5 mile event - Sunday 3rd may 2026. This course is ideal for those tackling their first marathon as well as seasoned runners looking for a fast time. The event runs along a great, traffic-free, flat route along the footpath and cycle track of the River Exe and Exeter Canal. The marathon cut off time is 6 hours. There is also a 5 mile community run for those fancying a shorter distance!

Exeter 10K River Run - 6pm Friday 26th June 2026. Open to runners of all abilities, this is the perfect follow on challenge if you have completed a couch to 5 km, or for those who are looking for a new distance but not quite ready for a half marathon.
