Summer Fete a Huge Success for ELF Crediton Fundraising Group
The weather was glorious for our Crediton Fundraising Group's Summer Fete earlier this month. The Fete is always the jewel in the crown for the Group's fundraising event calendar, and this year's Fete was no exception.
The Summer Fete was held in Copplestone, in the garden of group member Andre Pike. There were a wide selection of stalls selling cakes, books, plants, toys, crafts, and bric-a-brac, plus a raffle, silent auction and guess the bear's birthday game. Visitors were well fed with cream teas and a BBQ, whilst the brilliant Copplestone Community Choir entertained the crowds with two performances in the sunshine.
This year's Fete raised over £2,500 for ELF, an amazing result. A huge thank you to the Crediton Group Committee for all their hard work and planning, plus the team of volunteers who ably assisted them on the day. Special thanks to Andre and Bridget Pike, plus their family, for hosting the Fete in their glorious garden and for all their help running stalls.
Our Crediton Fundraising Group are a team of volunteers who host a wide selection of fundraising events for ELF throughout the year. Coming up in the autumn, the group are hosting one of their famous Meat Bingo's, a Big Breakfast, a comedy evening with Cornish comedian Johnny Cowling and a Quiz night.
