ELF's fearless five complete Ultra Challenge's Southwest Coast 2 Coast

On the weekend of 24th and 25th July, five supporters took part in a gruelling Ultra Challenge event in aid of ELF. The Southwest Coast 2 Coast is a 102km race across Devon, starting in Minehead on the North coast and finishing in Dawlish on the South coast. Participants can run or walk the course continuously or opt to camp overnight at the halfway point in Tiverton.

Our team incorporated Rachael, a nurse from Yarty ward, Jessie and Lucy who were competing in memory of loved ones who were treated at the RD&E Haematology Centre, ELF patient support driver Pete and his fellow running club member Andy. All five reported that the event was expertly organised and that the stunning Devon scenery made the challenging course worth all the effort.

Between them, they have raised £4,200 for Exeter Leukaemia Fund. A huge well done and thank you to them all!
