ELF Expands Wellbeing Services for Patients and Families
ELF is delighted to announce the expansion of our mental wellbeing services for patients and families.
Thanks to the generous support of our donors, we have been able to recruit a Counselling Services Lead to review and develop our provision, as well as work closely with our colleagues in the NHS to ensure patients are getting the best possible support.
Lorraine Brown joined the ELF team in August of this year and will be offering counselling to patients on Yarty Ward, as well as coordinating the ELF Counselling Programme.
Lorraine is planning an Art Therapy Group, to be launched in the new year, which will support patient mental health through creative expression.
We are also extremely pleased to have recently extended our Counselling services to include children aged four and above. This much needed provision will help to ensure that children and young people affected by blood cancers and other blood disorders, whether as patients or relatives of patients, get the support they need.
If you are interested in accessing these services and would like to know more, or if you would like to make a donation to support ELF and our work to help patients in Devon with haematological conditions, please contact us at enquire@elfcharity.org.uk.
