Christmas gift bags delivered to Yarty ward
As is tradition on Christmas Eve, ELF delivered gift bags to the Yarty team to distribute to those patients spending the festive period on the ward. We hope that the bags bring some cheer and a smile to all who receive them. (Our thanks to the kind people at Bromleigh House, Exminster Golf, Tesco & Morrisons for their donations to the bags)
Our Christmas gift bags are a small gesture but they make such a big impact to those receiving them. Former patient Adele recalls: “That gift bag sticks in my mind. It was the only bright, cheerful, Christmassy thing in the room. It meant so much. Just waking up to that was enough to lift my spirits.”
Neil Toghill, Matron at Yarty Ward, told us: "The ELF gift bags always bring a smile and extra joy to patients in hospital on Christmas Day on Yarty Ward. As the unit manager, I receive such wonderful feedback from patients and families expressing thanks for the gift bags.”
Wishing the hard-working Haematology team and our wonderful volunteers and supporters a very Merry Christmas!
