Celebrating Ros

2026 marks a very special anniversary in the ELF calendar – 30 years of Ros Lacey providing compassionate care and aromatherapy massage to patients undergoing blood cancer treatment.

At the heart of this much-loved service is Ros, a skilled and dedicated aromatherapist whose warmth, kindness and expertise have touched countless lives during her three decades working with ELF.

Through her thoughtful, patient-centred approach, Ros makes a real difference to people at some of the most challenging moments of their lives. Her aromatherapy sessions are so much more than a treatment – they offer comfort, relaxation, hope and a sense of humanity when it is needed most.

One former patient shared:

“Ros was wonderful. While I stayed in last year, she gave the best foot rubs – the one treatment I looked forward to each week. She’s so bubbly and kind.”

To celebrate this incredible milestone, we hosted a special tea party for Ros, attended by members from ELF and staff from Yarty and Cherrybrook wards. Patients also shared their thanks, leaving heartfelt messages and celebratory notes on the walls in recognition of the difference Ros has made to so many people.
