A busy Christmas period ahead at Princesshay!
Please join us for an action-packed December at Exeter's Princesshay Shopping Centre, thanks to our charity of the year partnership. Our sincere thanks to Princesshay for providing us with a wonderful opportunity to raise funds and awareness in the heart of the city.
Last week, we launched Christmas at Princesshay with Santa, Bubbles the elf and a very special guest: 3 year old Sophia Windsor, who had the honour of switching on this year's festive lights. Santa and Bubbles the elf will be visiting their sleigh in Princesshay every Sunday in December from 10.30am-4.30pm whilst collecting donations for ELF. Find out more at www.princesshay.co.uk/santa/.
We’ll be at Princesshay on Friday 28th November, when street theatre band Spark! will be performing. Pop along and donate to our friendly team of bucket collectors, or join our volunteers and lend a hand. This event marks the start of late night shopping Thursdays and the opening of Princesshay’s Christmas Village, which will include a chalet bar run by Lloyd’s Lounge. It would be rude not to try the Honey Spritz cocktail, as £1 from each sale is being donated to ELF! Throughout December we also have several local choirs performing in aid of ELF at various locations in the shopping centre. You can learn more about our festive volunteering opportunities and upcoming events at www.elfcharity.org.uk/volunteer.
On Sunday 1st December our favourite festive event takes place - the Exeter Santa Run! Hundreds of runners dressed as Santa filling Exeter High Street is always a sight to behold. We have ELF supporters running in both the 5k Run and the 2.5k Family Run, all raising money for our vital patient services. Plus, 30 children from Newton St Cyres Primary School will be taking part in the Family Run as a celebration of Sophia's recovery from leukaemia, who joined their Preschool in September. You can sponsor their efforts here. The Santa Run events begin at 9am if you wish to come along and join our cheer squad at the finish line.
Fancy some free family fun? Take part in our elf awareness trail! There are 12 elves hidden in windows around Princesshay, can you find them all? Collect a free trail map from the new pop-up gift shop in the shopping centre, run by Ginger Zebra (located at the Surridge Gallery site towards the rear of the former Debenhams building). Head to Ginger Zebra to purchase tickets for our Christmas Raffle and our 2025 patient happy place charity calendars, or to simply make a donation. Card and cash accepted.
It's going to be a busy month! Please do come along and support us where you can.
