A busy afternoon at Sandy Park!
An army of ELF volunteers descended upon Sandy Park on Saturday, 11th January for our annual Exeter Chiefs bucket collection. This year's group of 40+ volunteers saw students from Exeter University, some of our corporate supporters from Westcotts SW and members of the Haematology Centre Reception team join our regular volunteers for an epic bucket collection. Sadly, the result didn't go the Chiefs' way but we had a fun and successful afternoon nonetheless amongst the 11,000 rugby fans!
ELF is one of the Exeter Chiefs Foundation's nominated charities again this year. Bucket collections are held at each home match at Sandy Park throughout the 2024-25 season, with the total funds collected being donated to the nominated local charities at the end of the year. ELF will receive one share of the donation pot for every volunteer we provide to assist with the collections, so each person who helped us on Saturday has secured us a share of the donation pot. Well done team!
We are on the lookout for volunteers to join our 'Bonus Collector' list. When other charities cannot fulfil their volunteer quota, we will call upon this list to represent ELF and help to fill the gaps. It's a great opportunity for rugby fans to attend additional games for free whilst supporting ELF!
