In memory fundraising

Donate in memory

Choosing to donate to ELF in memory of a loved one is a personal choice for which we are very grateful. We express our deepest condolences if you have lost a loved one and hope that you can find some comfort in donating to a cause that helps others living with blood cancers and serious blood disorders.

Donation in lieu of flowers/Funeral Collections

Many families request that donations are made to ELF at a loved one's funeral or celebration of life service. This is usually done with a collection plate at the church or crematorium, and all cash and cheque donations are managed by the funeral director. If you wish to order donation envelopes for this purpose, please contact us. Any cheques should be made payable to either ELF or Exeter Leukaemia Fund.

For anyone unable to attend the funeral in person, cheques can be sent directly to the funeral director, to be added to the collection. The funeral director will then forward the donations to ELF, this is normally within two months of the funeral. We will send a letter of acknowledgment to the next of kin once the funds are received.IMO

Online Memorial Pages

A donation page in memory of a loved one allows people unable to attend the funeral to make a donation. It can also be used as a platform to share photos and memories of your loved one.

Suggested sites you could use include JustGiving (www.justgiving.com) & Memory Giving (www.memorygiving.com).

Take part in an event

Undertaking a challenge in memory of a loved one can be an emotional and rewarding tribute. Completing a walk or run, hosting an event or choosing a challenge linked to your loved one's interests are all ways to leave a legacy that helps others living with blood cancers and blood disorders.
