We are always looking for volunteers to help in our shops, at events and in our offices. Becoming a volunteer is a fun and rewarding experience and we have a variety of roles with details listed below. Full training for these roles is provided and we would love you to be involved.

ELF Retail Volunteers

Working as part of a small, friendly team, ELF Retail Volunteers help with the day-to-day running of our shops. This includes helping customers on the shop floor, operating the till, receiving donated goods and sorting them for sale in the shop. Our shops are our link with the community so being an ELF Retail Volunteer is a great opportunity to build relationships and raise awareness of ELF. For shop locations, please click here

ELF Collection Box Co-ordinators

Collection boxes, situated in places such as cafes, schools, libraries, etc. bring in a large source of our monetary donations and we are looking for people with great interpersonal skills and a passion for fundraising to take charge of the monitoring, management and distribution of collection boxes within an agreed geographic area. Do you know an ideal place to put an ELF collection box to collect donations?

ELF Charity Representatives

Throughout the year ELF has a wide range of fundraising activities and events. These events need the help of Charity Representatives to ensure everything runs smoothly and raises the maximum amount of donations. As a Charity Representative, your help selling raffle tickets, marshalling an event, collecting donations in bucket collections, distributing posters or spending time on stands at events is invaluable. ELF Bucket Collection Co-ordinator

This role is all about meeting people and developing relationships in the local community. As a Bucket Collection Co-ordinator you will be responsible for applying for permits where collections will take place and organising a rota of people to collect donations. This role also has the responsibility for accurately counting, recording and banking the amounts collected at activities and events. Full training is provided.

ELF Office Administrator Volunteer (Marsh Barton Office)

Becoming an Office Administrator Volunteer will give you behind-the-scenes experience of working for a local charity. While carrying out day-to-day office tasks at our Marsh Barton office you will learn how ELF works and this is a great opportunity to build on your IT and Admin skills.

ELF Data Administrator Volunteer (Marsh Barton Office)

This office based role supports the ELF Fundraising team and involves data entry and accurate record keeping. This is essential for developing supporter stewardship and thanking individuals promptly and appropriately for their generous donations to ELF.

ELF Volunteer Event Photographer

Taking photos at our fundraising activities and events is a vital part of communicating the exciting ways ELF supporters help raise awareness and donations for our charity. We are looking for keen photographers who are happy to take pictures to support our cause. Photos will be used in ELF publicity, illustrating reports, on our website, social media and in our printed and online magazines. This is a great opportunity if you are looking to further a career in photography or simply to share your skill to support ELF.

@Home Volunteer
