Exeter Night Walk

Saturday 18th April 2009

Fancy a ladies’ night out with a difference? Then gather your friends and register for the Exeter Night Walk, the first ever ladies only midnight walk in Exeter. Supported by the Express & Echo, we hope to see 2,000 ladies take part in one of the largest charitable events the City has ever seen!

This special moonlit walk promises to be a great night out with refreshments and plenty of giggles along the way. About 12 miles in length, (you may opt out at the half way stage!), the circular route takes in Exeter Arena, the Cathedral and the Quay, Wyvern Barracks and Countess Wear.

Making a difference

By taking part in the Exeter Night Walk, you’ll be helping people affected by cancer. You will be asked to raise as much money as possible through personal sponsorship which will be split equally between Macmillan and Exeter Leukaemia Fund (ELF). The entry fee is just £10 per walker. This covers the costs of the event and ensures that every penny you raise goes directly to Macmillan and ELF. So go on, sign up your friends, raise vital funds for charity and enjoy a night to remember! Please note you cannot register on the night and 2,000 walkers is the limit for the event. We regret no dogs or girls under the age of 16 can take part.

Men needed too!

We are also looking for a small army of stewards to help ensure all our ladies complete the event in safety. Click here for details including the application form.

For more information

When we have received your registration form (which can be found in the Express And Echo w/c 2nd Feb and avaliable to download here) and entry fee, we will send you the information pack including the sponsor form. Keep up to date with developments in the Express & Echo and on line at www.thisisexeter.co.uk/nightwalk.
